Peace - Keep Your Eyes on Jesus

Each and everyday we have the opportunity to choose HOW we will go about our day. How we will approach it. How we will look at things. How we will speak. How we will love.

Today, I griped and complained as I am in the process of discovering some things I need to change. This is not always an easy process. Mentally this type A individual does not like it. Thankfully my coach is able to love me thru it and say ‘suck it up buttercup, pull up those big girl panties and grow!’. I love her for this. I may have cried, but it wasn’t because of what she said, it was because I had already been telling myself it and I just didn’t want to believe it.

You see, my husband and I chose to make some changes. Changes that are good in SO MANY ways BUT also HARD in other ways. These changes are ones we truly feel God called us to make YET it feels like a complete storm sometimes. AND… when life is full of thunder and lightning it is a bit easier to lose your peace. It becomes a bit easier to focus on the junk instead of all the good. BUT, I am hear to tell you this is a choice.

“Choose the way you look at things, and the things you see will change” – Wayne Dyer

So, where do I find my peace?

How do I change my mindset?

Well – it does help to have that coach, friend or mentor to kick you in the rear BUT more so – I choose to dwell on Him. I choose to worship with my life. I read my bible and good teachings, I listen to spirit filling music or books on audible, I pray, I journal, I do those things that reset my spirit and my focus. You see when my eyes stay on Him, I am able to keep moving forward. I refuse to sink. You know – Peter was able to walk on water until he took his eyes of of Jesus.

I trust in my Jesus and ALL He has called me to be. He brings me incredible peace and I am grateful for the love He has placed on my heart.

Oh – and it always helps to diffuse some grounding and faith inspiring essential oils!

God brings peace. He is the only one that can fill any hole. He is the one that brings you Joy. He is the one that will help you overflow onto others. Choose Him first in everything, give Him the glory, and meditate on Him and you will find peace.
